
Visas
No participants from Eastern European and Central Asian countries (with the exception of holders of normal passports from Turkmenistan) require a visa to enter Moldova.
For those participants requiring a visa to enter Moldova.
The participants will be responsible for their own visas and are required to have a valid passport. Applications for visas should be made to an Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Moldova or the Embassy of other EU member state that represents Moldova in the respective country;
Applicants must personally submit visa applications, together with all necessary documents to the Embassy of Moldova or Consulate covering their place of residence. The visa application procedure might differ slightly in each country; however, the key requirements are the following:
1. Travel document (passport) valid for at least 3 months after the expiration of the required visa;
2. An original invitation from the Bureau of Migration and Asylum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, only for the countries that need this invitation;
3. Proof of the existence of means of support during the stay in Moldova, at least 30 euro per day for the stay requested on the application form, but not less than 300 euro or the equivalent in USD (or other currency), for a stay shorter than 10 days;
4. A valid travel ticket to the destination, or the driving license, the green card and the registration documents of the vehicle, in case of drivers;
5. An entry visa for a certain state, or any other document that offers the right to enter the territory of a neighboring state, in case of transit visa;
6. A recent color photograph (size 3.5x4.5 cm);
7. An application form;
8. Consular fee depending on the type of visa requested.
Participants that require a visa to enter Moldova are advised to start visa obtaining procedure a minimum of 1.5 months in advance, i.e. by 1 July 2014 at the latest. Please, contact the Embassy of Moldova in your country or the EU Member State Embassy that covers/assists Moldova in your country or contact the Embassy of Moldova in another country as to get the necessary information and guidance for obtaining your visa, as soon as possible.
